  • The Centre for Promotion of Exports from developing Countries (CBI) of the Netherlands contributes to sustainable economic development in developing countries by increasing their exports. CBI is THE Expert in export development and promotion from developing countries. The organisation exists for 40 years and for many of these years has operated in India providing support to SME exporters to tap the European market. Support has also included training of a team of local experts in the field of export coaching and FBC is in fact a spin-off of some of the most talented of these.

  • The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the growth of industry in India, partnering industry and government alike through advisory and consultative processes.

CII is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry led and industry managed organisation, playing a proactive role in India’s development process. Founded over 116 years ago, it is India’s premier business association, with a direct membership of over 8100 organisations from the private as well as public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, and an indirect membership of over 90,000 companies from around 400 national and regional sectoral associations.

CII undertook an initiative to promote technology based exports from India. A project was setup entitled “Technology Exports Development Organisation” (in collaboration with the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) and the Ministry of Commerce and Industries) in which 100 India exporters were supported with capacity building in various forms. Several of the FBC Experts were closely tied to this project and CII is keen to see the efforts of this kind carried forward in the future by competent bodies like FBC.
