A group of consultants of FBC (Foundation for Business Competitiveness) have been working for UNIDO in developing the export competitiveness for the machine tool cluster in Delhi and NCR.

The mandate involves conducting a market study & analysis on the following aspects of machine tool products:

  1. Data sourcing – product line and market, competitor analysis, identifying exportable goods
  2. Data consolidation – acceptance norms of exportable goods, certifications required for exportable goods
  3. Data analysis – identification of technical and facility gaps and evolving strategies and solutions to promote export
  4. Identify and assess bottlenecks/hurdles in export (technical/marketing/packaging etc.), devising problem solving strategies

A comprehensive training mandate is also being executed focusing on the following:

  1. Motivation for export
  2. SWOT and confrontation matrix to diagnose export readiness of the organizations
  3. International market access requirements
  4. International market entry strategies
